About

With their dreamy storytelling and unique voice, Elsa MacLeod will capture you under nostalgia, smokey scents and big feelings. Their music has been described as David Bowie meets Phoebe Bridgers, a love affair between indie guitars and baroque cello that leaves heart strings tugged and long forgotten memories awakened.

A songwriter, guitarist, cellist and storyteller from Stockholm, MacLeod grew up playing classical cello and studying guitar, whilst looking up to legendary songwriters such as Bowie or Carole King. During their teenage years they fell in love with indie bands such as Big Thief, Angel Olsen and Elliott Smith. Having already participated as an instrumentalist and producer on a number of records, they are now finishing their own debut album in Malmö, Sweden, with the 1st single (“Ghost Farm”) arriving in the world August 21st.
